What Does the Procedure Involve?
Implant Exchange
Existing implants are removed and replaced with new ones. This may involve changing the size, type, or position of the implants based on your aesthetic goals and anatomical considerations.
Capsulectomy
The scar capsule that has formed around the implant is partially or completely removed to address capsular contracture and improve breast feel and appearance. En bloc removal may be performed for severe cases.
Implant Removal
Implants may be removed with or without replacement, depending on your goals. The breast may be reshaped with fat transfer or other techniques to improve contour after implant removal.
Corrective Techniques
Fat transfer, breast lift, or placement change (from subglandular to submuscular, for example) may be performed to address specific complications or aesthetic concerns.
Risks & Considerations
